Wigan boss Paul Jewell revealed Saturday that he pulled keeper Chris Kirkland out of a possible start for England against Spain on Wednesday. Jewell said keeping Kirkland fit for a relagation battle was too important to risk on the international game.
Jewell says Kirkland is fine with the decision. We'll see. The keeper has a slight shoulder injury but will start against Arsenal. He might be a good almost no-cost option after he battles the Gunners.
